We took our cues from European cafe classics--think Michael Thonet's bentwood bistros--to create a stool that feels timeless yet relaxed. A sculpted X-back and arched apron bring soft curves to a sturdy birch wood frame, finished in a distressed black that shows subtle grain. The woven rattan caning seat adds airy texture and a little spring, while the built-in footrest keeps long sits comfortable. Slightly splayed legs and double stretchers boost stability for busy kitchens and great rooms. It is that easygoing piece that plays nicely with farmhouse, coastal, or modern mix-and-match spaces.
  • Iconic X-back silhouette inspired by classic European cafe chairs
  • Distressed black finish on birch wood with graceful bentwood curves
  • Textural rattan caning seat for breathable comfort
  • Integrated footrest and double stretchers enhance support and durability
  • Slightly splayed legs and arched apron create a balanced, relaxed stance
